STORY

Tonight is a very special night for all ballet lovers. This is the premiere evening of a new ballet performance starring young ballerina Melanie, and the audience is gathering cheerfully at the theater.

As the lights dim in the auditorium, silence falls over the audience, and the air is buzzing with excitement! The curtain slowly opens and the music starts playing. Under the dazzling light of the spotlights, Melanie steps lightly onto the stage and starts to dance around. The audience is enthralled. Melanie’s movements are so precise, charming and light that at times it looks as if she is not dancing at all, but rather hovering over the stage. At her side, Graceful Kitty is dancing in time to the melody, making the same movements as the young ballerina. At the end of their splendid performance, Melanie an Graceful Kitty make a curtsy to the audience and both freeze in anticipation. The audience bursts into thunderous applause, cheering and rising to their feet to give them a standing ovation. A smile blossoms on Melanie’s lips. She and Graceful Kitty are now true ‘prima ballerinas’!

The Friendies are little cuties that live in children’s rooms, in old boxes full of toys. Most of the time, they look like ordinary toys, but they come to life once the room is empty. The Friendies then leave their box on tiptoe and put the toys scattered around the room back to their usual places. Sometimes, when they feel very tired, the Friendies fall asleep on the bed, not making it back to their box. When you find a Friendy laying on the bed, then you clearly think that it was you who put her there. But if you ever look through the keyhole before you enter the room, you will probably see your Friendy silently walking around, collecting and putting the toys away.
