Very RARE! Card of 5 buttons, brand is Bulldog, 16mm (5/8 inch) diameter, 1-hole, 2 part. A no-sew metal buttons advertised to batchelors that couldn't sew! Manufactured between 1900 and 1940. For some of the cards, the envelope on the packaging his appropriate to the decades they have been stored, but contains the correct number of backs. A truly rare, and interesting pack of buttons and I have never seen any others apart from at Manchester Art Gallery! Originally marketed as the "the bachelors friend", "requires no sewing", "push on in an instant" and "holds on like a bulldog". Perfect for re-enactment garments, historical display, scrap booking, junk journaling. Multiple cards available. Vintage, likely from before the 1940s, not sure of specific decade, so condition is appropriate to age.
