Puff Heat Transfer Vinyl is a fun, dimensional and is used for creating raised, textured designs on fabrics through heat application. It offers a unique and eye-catching effect that adds depth and dimension to custom designs. Despite its raised texture, Puff HTV remains soft and flexible after application. It retains the comfort and flexibility of the fabric, ensuring that the design does not feel stiff or awkward to wear. It can be applied to various types of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and polycotton blends. It is suitable for use on garments like t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, caps, bags, shoes, and more. It is durable and can withstand repeated washing and wearing without significant fading or cracking. It is advisable to follow the care instructions provided to ensure longevity. Easy Application All you need is a cutting machine, heat press, and some accessories such as a cutting mat, tweezer, weeder or weeding pen, transfer tape, and a squeegee. Below is the procedure: Create or choose the design you want to apply using the software that is compatible with your cutting machine. If the design is simple, you can cut it with a pair of scissors. Mirror the image horizontally before cutting. This is an important step while using Puff or any other heat press vinyl. Preheat your heat press machine to the recommended temperature for Puff HTV. We suggest 310°F. Use a cutting machine to carve the design. This Puff HTV is compatible with all craft cutters, die cutters, and sign plotters. Ensure that the cut settings (blade depth, speed, and pressure) are appropriate for the vinyl. Once the design is carved, it is time to take out the negative vinyl. Carefully remove it using a weeding tool, leaving only the desired design on the carrier sheet. You can use our tweezer, weeder, or weeding pen whatever you are comfortable with. They all are excellent for the process of weeding, making it hassle free. Take extra care when weeding Puff HTV as it has a slightly thicker texture. Put the fabric in the heat press machine. Place the carrier sheet with the design onto the fabric in the desired location. Make sure the carrier sheet is facing up and the adhesive side of the Puff vinyl is touching the fabric. Place parchment paper or Teflon sheet on top to protect the vinyl from any kind of damage. Close the heat press machine. Follow the recommended time, temperature, and pressure settings provided by us. After the suggested heat application time, carefully peel off the carrier sheet while the vinyl is still slightly warm. If any parts of the vinyl lift with the carrier sheet, place it back down and apply more heat and pressure. If you don't have a heat press machine you can also use the dry, household iron. Apply firm, even pressure and heat to the whole design with it before peeling off the carrier sheet. Once the carrier sheet is removed, allow the vinyl to cool completely before handling or wearing the garment. Care Instructions Do not wash the garment for at least 48 hours after applying the Puff HTV. It is better to wash the fabric with hands. Turn the garment inside out before washing it to protect the design. Use a mild detergent and wash the garment in cold or lukewarm water. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals as they can damage the vinyl. Do not wring or twist the garment with Puff HTV before drying. It is best to air dry it to preserve the design and prevent heat damage. Hang the garment on a clothesline away from the sun. Iron the fabric inside out. Use a pressing cloth or parchment paper to cover the design. Set the iron to a low heat setting (without steam) and apply gentle pressure for a short duration. Avoid direct contact between the iron and the vinyl. Puff HTV is generally not recommended for dry cleaning, as the chemicals used in the process can affect the vinyl's appearance and adhesion. To preserve the longevity of garments with puff HTV, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid folding or creasing the vinyl, as it may cause permanent damage to the design.
