The fabric is a 10oz waxed canvas, a material that'll pick up plenty of patina over the years. It shows wear lines in crease areas where the wax moves around. Years later, the wax will begin to wear off, creating an interesting look that can be left as is or can be rewaxed to bring back its original lustre. This fabric embodies many of our favourite characteristics: it's functional, hard-wearing, and better looking at year five than it is at year one. The jacket is entirely made in the USA; it features a slim fit and all the RGT beautiful details such as branded nickel buttons and the slanted buttonhole. This extra buttonhole is a callback to when men wore pocket watches. The watch chain would fit through the hole, and the watch would be held in the breast pocket. DO NOT put this jacket in the water. DO NOT dry clean. Over the life of the jacket (or any waxed canvas product), you may need to re-wax it to maintain its water-repellency and finish. This is the nature of waxed canvas. Also, this fabric will darken over time with wear. The wax that the mill uses on this fabric is Martexin wax. Rogue Territory began in 2008 as a custom denim workshop located within American Rag’s World Denim Bar in Los Angeles, CA, offering fully bespoke one-of-a-kind denim pieces to a select clientele.
