New Zealand Sphagnum Moss is preferred over any other type of moss for terrarium use due to its unique softness and amazing moisture-holding ability. This lush carpet-like moss can hold moisture up to 20 times its dry weight. Great for live plants and incredibly long-lasting; after other substrates have decomposed, this moss remains usable and can be washed and reused several times. Harvested using sustainable methods to ensure that it will be around for future generations. Dried and packaged. Large, bulky and heavy items may require a little extra shipping. We will contact you if your order requires a shipping adjustment. You may also reach out before hand for a custom shipping quote. LARGE , HEAVY AND OR BULKY ITEMS MAY REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE Due to Esty's platform being relatively basic and primitive on the shipping options, is not advanced enough to allow the option of assigning a different shipment rate for each item variation. We deal with mostly natural items and they all vary DRASTICALLY from unit to unit in size and weight. For example, the cost to ship a small piece of wood may only be $16 dollars but the XL may cost $60+ to ship. We will over up to an additional 10% of the shipping fee, and contact the buyer with any difference needed to ship the item(s). The buyer will always have the right to cancel for full refund if the shipping difference is more than they are willing to pay. Sphagnum moss is one of the best products to help increase humidity in your reptile or frog enclosure. It absorbs a ton of water and doesn't dry out easily so you can moisten it and forget about it for a little while. In basic setups, it can simply be placed in the tank as the only substrate. Keep moist and replace every month or two or as needed.
