The colors are incredible as the texture and tiny colored nep thru out this yarn make it one of the most special I have ever seen. Donegal Yarns is nestled between the hills of southwest Donegal on the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way. Our mill can trace its heritage to the early tradition of hand spinning, which dates back centuries. Irish tweed yarns were spun, woven and knitted in local homes.About a century ago these traditional natural fibre products were introduced on the international markets and since then ‘The Genuine Donegal Tweed’ has earned world-renowned recognition.Irish made: We are one of the last remaining companies producing this indigenous and authentic product in Ireland. The full production process and distribution takes place at our Donegal woollen mill in the village of Kilcar, which has a long history of industrial textile manufacturing. We are proud to be an approved manufacture using Donegal Yarns and of the rich heritage and craft of this old world spinning mill. There are very few mills still operating with such craft and passion in this world so be sure to get your Donegal Watch Caps today as many colors are extremely limited. 70% Merino Wool, 30% Mohair Tweed from Donegal, Ireland.*knit and sewn in Queens, NYC*Raglan sleeve
