This Hand-Spun Eri Silk Embroidery Thread from Botanica Tinctoria is hand-spun on drop spindles and hand dyed with sustainable dyes.
Our mill spun Eri silk embroidery thread from Botanica Tinctoria are the perfect stocking stuffer. The threads are lustrous eight-strand organic Eri embroidery silk (GOTS Certified, Fair Trade Certified) wrapped on sturdy thread cards. 8 meters thread per card. Offered in a multitude of naturally hand-dyed colors, these special threads just glow and the stranded cards show off a subtle sheen. The treads are not plied together. Botanica Tinctoria strands their threads. These separate easily to create different weights, and for blending colors. The fabric is 46.5 inches wide and is sold by the yard (36 inches)., Sally Fox worked with Taishobo in Japan to make this super fine Sea Island
