These mini-scissors were created by Hasegawa Cutlery, a manufacturer of edged tools established in 1933 and located in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan's foremost cutlery-making town.
You can cut with these scissors by gripping them with your fingers and pinching lightly.
Despite their small size, these cute mini-scissors have great cutting ability. They are the product of a scissors manufacturer's pride; time-tested. reliable craftsmanship; inventive ideas; and the production technology that forms their foundation.

The small silk tassels are carefully handmade by Imasato, a specialist in tassels and knots founded in 1907 and located in Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture.
For over 100 years, Imasato has been making tassels for Yame Chochin paper lanterns, which are a traditional handicraft. Imasato creates beautiful tassels that shine with subtle, artisanal skill.

The cases for these scissors are made from high-quality, genuine leather. Even when placed in a pencil case, purse, or drawstring pouch, they can be stored compactly, making them convenient for carrying.

This outstanding pair of scissors was inspired by a one-off model - a collector’s item forged with love by a scissor maker for his intended. The young girl in question adored her father, who delivered wood on his cart pulled by a donkey. This lovely story leaves it up to us to decide if they lived happily ever after…

Quality scissors can be distinguished by, among other things, their 'pairing marks' (here, the number 10): this is a sign that the blades have been perfectly adjusted from the beginning of their production. These scissors are adorned with a passementerie pompom in fuchsia and pink tones. All these products are MADE IN FRANCE.

World-famous Shozaburo scissors are remade with devotion, one pair at a time by artisans who do not compromise on quality.
The handles of these smooth-cutting Shozaburo thread scissors are finished in a modern style and wrapped in Iga braids, a material made primarily for use in armour -making since before the Nara period. 

The beautifully dyed silk threads are gentle on the hands, bringing about a unique texture and experience. 
The ultimate scissors, these stunning snips are made for Cohana by the renowned Shozaburo scissor makers in Japan.  The finely honed steel blades are razor sharp and are ideal for precision thread cutting. The handles are wrapped with silk Iga braids (a technique developed for the manufacture of Japanese armour and garment fastening) and finished with an elegant tassel and button trim.
A soft leather blade cover is the final finishing touch.

As usual with Japanese goods, the packaging is perfect – a beautiful presentation box and Cohana tag make these little scissors the ultimate gift for textile lovers.

The Charles X era is famous for the sophistication and quality of its'objects. As far as sewing kits and scissors making, the years 1820-1830, saw the production in France of veritable marvels.

These scissors are inspired by the Charles X style : the handles have a veined ivory effect and reproduce the Sajou S. The finger rings are beautifully decorated with a festoon detail. The finished article is a very light pair of scissors that are a delight to use.

Quality scissors can be recognized by, among other things, their pairing marks (you will notice the number 23 on the photo presented here) : these are the signs that the blades have been perfectly adjusted for the start of their fabrication.

This pair of embroidery scissors shaped like the golden Eiffel Tower is a reprint of a model from the late nineteenth century. Indeed, the Eiffel Tower was erected during the 1889 World Expo It was during the latter that Jacques-Simon Sajou was awarded a silver medal. The manufacture of such a pair of scissors requires no less than fifteen operations, mostly, are manual. The gold foil requires that there be a varnish on all parties not to be golden. This is what explains the difference in price between the Eiffel Tower and chrome scissors them.

We are receiving more of these soon!  These are now collectors edition scissors as they are so hard to come by. They are so beautiful and have been made with such meticulous craftsmanship.

These spectacular scissors depict two graceful swans backed. Its' branches mimic nacre, the material that was used to make many formerly delicate sewing items.

In the nineteenth century, these embroidery scissors required the expertise of a cutler for steel blades and that of a toymaker for the working mother of pearl. Today, the division of labor is somewhat similar: steel blades are manufactured by a ciselier, while the branches are developed in our own workshops.

Unlike older models, it is extremely light, very pleasant to use. A quality pair of scissors can be recognized, among others, by its' pairing marks (here 47): they are the sign of perfectly fit branches, right from the start of production. These scissors, pompom, and medallion included, are made entirely in France. Their production can require the craftsmenship of a dozen qualified people.

The legend of storks delivering new-borns appeared in Alsace in the 1850’s, a region where this bird is very present in popular imagery. The tradition then spread to the rest of France at the beginning of the 20th century. It is at this period that scissors in the shape of a stork began to appear..
