General Information:

Rust Converter Primer is an epoxy-resin based anti-corrosion coating. It converts rust into a

dark grey, almost black, protective layer which also acts as a primer. Once fully cured (12 - 24

hours) the rust is neutralized and the surface can be re-coated.

Surfaces:

Removes loose rust, dirt and grease.
Suitable for sheet metal, ferrous metal, steel.

Pretreatment / Cleansing: Pre-clean using Silicone Remover

Preparation:

Shake can vigorously until the mixing balls moves freely!

Application:

Spray to test. Spraying distance approx. 20 - 25 cm

3 - 4 coat - allowing the product to dry in between each coating.

Flash-off:

3 - 5 min. between each coating

After use:

Turn can upside down and spray until the valve is clean, this prevents the valve from clogging up.

Drying Times:

Set to touch: 12 - 24 h

Re-coat able: 24 h

Processing Conditions:

From +15°C and up to 65% relative air humidity

Storage:

In tightly closed original containers at least 10 years shelf life

VOC- Regulation:

EC limiting value for the product (cat. B/e): 840 g/l (2007)

This product contains a maximum of 625 g/l VOC [ 5.22 lbs./gal]

A layer of this flat-black coating bonds with rusty metal and instantly transforms it into a non-rusting surface. No need to sand down to bare metal, simply spray directly onto rust. Indoor and outdoor furable, corrosion resistant finish. For best results apply several light coats a few minutes apart to prevent running and sagging.
