You've seen The Voice, American Idol, X-Factor, and countless other reality-TV singing and music competitions, but believe me when I say The Kandi Factory—Bravo's newest show with Real Housewives of Atlanta star and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss—is different. Rather than your straightforward singing show, Kandi Factory takes a closer look at what it takes to become an artist. Kandi: Well, I'm super excited and nervous because it's my first time stepping outside of Real Housewives. But The Kandi Factory is totally different, and it's not even the same as other music competition shows. First of all, we have all original songs. I wrote each song specifically for each of the contestants on the show. That's so many. Kandi: Yeah, there were a couple of people who couldn't pull off what I had for them, so I had to write up something else. So it ended up being more, but it was different, exciting.
