They are hand built in London, and are rigorously tested. Our first machine was installed at Office Shoes over 12 years ago. This turntable is still spinning, and is used continuously 5 days a week. The photos show our simple robust design, each machine is cut from high grade aluminium. The heavy duty construction allows our turntables to spin a weight of 130KG. The Crayfish is perfect for products ranging from tiny pieces of jewellery to people and furniture. Control Settings The rotating platform has a number of settings to fully control the output of your video or photography. The speed and direction can be adjusted. The number of frames can be set from 1 to 999. It can rotate constantly without stopping, or it can pause for a preset amount of time on each frame. It is compatible with most DSLR cameras, and comes with remotes for all Canon and Nikon cameras. (Compatible with Sony, Olympus, Hasselblad - we do not keep these remotes in stock, please let us know when ordering the make and model of your camera) Software We have been experimenting with 360 photography since 2000, and have been running a studio in conjunction with our design and manufacturing team. The fastest and most flexible method to capture 360 images was to build a system that did not need software or a computer. Our control box simply talks to the turntable and fires the camera via the remote. You then have the choice of shooting to SD card or tethering to a PC or Mac. Using Photoshop or Lightroom we simply batch crop the images to a web friendly size and upload them to our website. The only software or code that is needed, is the viewer that sits on your website which allows your users to interact with your products. This viewer is the most important part of 360 photography, and it must work on all browsers, PC, Mac, tablet, phone, Android or Iphone. After uploading your cropped images to the Sirv website, it will provide you with 1 link which you can paste into your site. Once this link is embedded (Wordpress, , any web page) you will have a full interactive spin with zoom working seamlessly across all computers and phones. We love this system as you no longer need to pay for recoding your website, just copy and paste. It is so simple and quick to use, we definitely think you should check out their free trial. www.magictoolbox.com Magic360 is another great viewer which only requires a one off small license fee. Instead of Sirv hosting and delivering your spins, the Magic360 viewer and images are installed on your server. There are lots of free videos showing a step by step guide on how to get it up and running. There are also many custom options to adjust zoom amount, styling, sizing, interaction etc. It takes longer to set up and manage compared to Sirv, but it will give your customers a great user experience. Personally, we prefer Sirv.com for its ease of use. As 360 images are hosted elsewhere you no longer need to worry about the extra bandwidth and the content is delivered much faster. We also like that the viewer is constantly being updated. If Apple launches a new OS for Iphone, the guys at Sirv are instantly tweaking and making changes so the new Iphone updates do not slow down your website. 360 embed links can be shared around the office, or given to your distributors within your network, and changes can be made to all your spins globally with just 1 click.
