Seashells Collection is just that. I have been a beachcomber all of my life, and in this particular group I photographed, most came from Emerald Isle in the Southern Outerbanks or Bogue Banks in North Carolina. This time I found some really unusual ones up and down the coast and that was because of a hurricane brushing the coast while we were there. When a storm comes through like that, many shells are washed up on the beach but you have to look almost while the end of the storm is still present as the undertow is so strong, it will pull them right back into the ocean. Although many seashells can be purchased when visiting the beaches, I learned from locals that those shells were collected with the animals that inhabit them still alive. Unfortunately they are sacrificed for the shells they inhabit. So I keep my collections of them and store them carefully from years past and keep on combing the shore when I go for more treasures.
