In 1949, Parisian painter Henri Goetz approached artist materials manufacture Henri Sennerlier about creating a wax color stick for his good friend--Pablo Picasso. This collaboration produced the Sennelier oil pastel, an exceptional medium featuring top-quality pigments, inert binding mediums that do not oxidize, high saturation and covering potential, creamy texture, and excellent lightfastness rating (save for metallic and fluorescent colors). These remarkable properties combine to make Sennelier oil pastels one of the top choices amongst professional artists around the world.
