From plotting the data, students see how P and S waves travel at different speeds and how the time between their arrivals can be used to measure the distance from the epicenter. Two versions of custom graph paper are included; with and without axis labeled which allows you to differentiate the activity.This resource also includes a worksheet with questions where students must use the time/distance graph to answer.
