Scientific Name: Commiphora myrrha Botany: Myrrh belongs to the Burseráceas family. It is a tree with thorns on the branches that reaches a maximum height of 3 meters, it can withstand extreme climatic conditions, such as desert regions. Its flowers are orange-red in color and the bark on the trunk is smooth, usually ash or slightly grayish white, and produces the coveted and legendary myrrh resin.
