Unlike many other melons the Orange-Fleshed honeydew will continue to ripen after being picked from the vine. Fresh Orange-Fleshed honeydew can be used as a breakfast fruit and as a salad ingredient and it also makes a perfect element in cold or fresh desserts. They can grow up to 5-6 pounds. Melons do best in warm soil with plenty of nutrients. You can direct-sow the seeds in rows that get a steady water supply.
