When you think of this product compared to Ospho Metal & Rust Treatment, you need to know that one is designed for rust clean up and protection (Ospho) and the other is designed for polishing and extreme gloss (Metallicut). What extreme gloss actually means, I don’t know.

What extreme gloss actually means; I don’t know. My guess is that you can expect your surface to have a noticeable shine to it.  A few of us did a smell test and Kyle had an interesting observation. He described the scent of this stuff as a “solvent-y” smell. I agree. It does have a solvent smell to it. I like it. Directions By hand: Apply a small amount of MetalliCut to a microfiber towel or wire wool depending on the metal type and goal. Using firm pressure, work MetalliCut into the metal surface until the product becomes less opaque. Use a clean microfiber towel to buff away any additional residue. Repeat steps 1-3 if necessary. By machine: Apply 6-8 drops of MetalliCut to a firm foam polishing pad. Spread MetalliCut on the surface at speed 1-2. Increase to speed 3 ~ 5 until the abrasives are broken down and a high gloss is achieved. Using a clean microfiber towel, remove excess residue. Repeat steps as necessary. By foam cone or buffing ball: Apply a liberal amount of MetalliCut to the chosen tool. Spread MetalliCut at low speed. Increase the speed of the drill and use a medium to high speed until the abrasives are broken down. Using a clean microfiber towel, remove excess residue. Repeat steps as necessary.
