This is a very special thread from 7Weaves, hand-spun on drop spindles by forest communities in Assam, India. Additionally, they are hand dyed with sustainable forest-gathered dyes in a beautiful and subtle range of colours. The thread comes as a single strand of Handspun Eri Silk Embroidery Thread in 15 naturally dyed colours. There are 68 metres or approximately 60 yards per skein. This textured single thread is perfect for textural hand stitching, couching and fine crochet. About Botanica Tinctoria: Rachel MacHenry is the founder of of Botanica Tinctoria.
