This gorgeous engagement ring features an oval pink sapphire prong set at the top, accented by a halo of split prong set pink sapphires, and additional pink sapphires running down the shoulders of the rose gold shank. It was created as part of a custom wedding set for a client from Seattle, WA, who came to us with a good idea of the kind of ring she wanted. Design Your Own Engagement RingHer initial request was simply for an engagement ring, but after giving it some thought, she decided to have her wedding band made at the same time to ensure a perfect match. We shared CAD images of her unique designs with her through the online workroom we set up to manage her project, and she also visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to pick out the perfect center stone. Center Sapphire and HaloThe centerpiece of this ring is a 3.09 carat oval pink sapphire, and it’s held in place by four rose gold prongs. Surrounding this is a halo of split prong set pink sapphires, which adds a lovely sparkle as well as a subtle contrast in size and shape to the gorgeous stone in the center. Sapphire Engagement RingsSapphire Accents and Band DesignSplit prong set pink sapphires also run down both shank shoulders to the mid-point on each side, and these create a nice connection to the center setting while also helping to reinforce the classical themes of the design. The rosy pink of the stones is complemented perfectly by the warmth of the metal, creating a beautiful effect. Unique Engagement Rings SeattleCustom Wedding SetsThe matching wedding band we made to complete this set is approximately the same width as the shank of the engagement ring. Rather than holding sapphires, however, it’s covered with elegant, scroll-style custom hand engraving, and this makes for a truly stunning combination. The wedding band is also made of 14k rose gold, and because we made the two rings at the same time, we could ensure they came from the same batch of metal and had exactly the same color.
