Vintage Guard Chain 9ct Rose Gold – Length 30 inches – S6998

amp;nbsp; A vintage style 'Guard' chain actually hallmarked in 1990. Traditionally a 'Guard' chain was worn by the head housekeeper around the neck to keep items of value safe. This could be keys, maybe to the tea caddy or purse - or items needed in daily use. This example is 30 inches in length, so will pop on over the head, with a 2 1/2 drop with a swivel to clip things to. Made of 9ct rose gold there are six fancy links joined by double belcher link chain. A good weight of chain, substantial enough for daily wear.
