They dry with a matte finish. Although these pigment-based paints are similar to watercolors in that they are water soluble and easy to spread, they are much more opaque. This allows artists to work freely without having to carefully avoid areas that will be a light color in the finished painting. There are three ratings: A: The color is completely lightfast. B: The color is partially lightfast. C: The color is not lightfast.
