Teresa removes all the angst and stress from you wanting to color but not knowing where to start or what colors to choose or what colors are nice together, etc. Teresa is the artist who designed and originated the personalized Color Wheel Sets for all sorts of media, whether it be Colored Pencils, Water-Soluble Markers, Alcohol Markers, Watercolor Pencils, Gel Pens, Watercolor, Acrylic, Gouache, etc. and so much more. The color wheel references will definitely be useful tools for you. They are NOT your normal Artist Color Wheels with the main hue and then tint, tone and shade for that hue. These color wheels contain all the colors in the specific set of media put in a color category that Teresa found to be suitable together just as if you are using an Artist Color Wheel but not with the actual pencil/marker information. For example, the Prismacolor Premier set has 150 pencils in their collection. Approximately 129 of those colors (not the greys) belong somewhere on a color wheel. She has taken the guessing game out of the equation and put the wheels together for you. There are five color wheels in total for the Prismacolor Premier so you may find the same color choice (i.e. Light Aqua) on one or more of the wheels, as there are more choices for color combinations that can use that color. Similar to the larger sets of media, the same process is completed for the smaller sets, for example, the Prismacolor Scholar set. There are only 60 pencils in this set, so you don’t need five color wheels, just one. In order to fill the rows available on the wheel, some colors may be duplicated so that you can see how that color can be used in various color combinations/themes. These personalized Color Wheels also found homes for all of those brown tones that you are not sure go well with what colors. Now you will have no stress as to where they could go or what works well with which hue. ***Something NEW as of 2021 and onward: Since these personalized Color Wheel Sets have become rather popular and extremely useful among many colorists, Teresa has decided to change them up just a bit because of popular requests among the colorists in her coloring community on Facebook. Many of us color for pure enjoyment as well as therapy for every day anxieties and stresses, depression, chronic pain and illnesses, just to name a few. The most common inquiry is to learn how to use the various kinds of “greys/grays from each set. So as of 2021, she has included those "hmm questionable colors of grey/gray" in each set onto the wheels. Hahaha **Please Note: This set does not include the greys in the color wheels. She is confident that by including the greys/grays into the Color Wheel Sets, it will inspire us to use them more often as highlights or shadows to accentuate our work. It will also help the curiosities and relieve the stresses such as “which grey should I use for what color”, etc. Once you get used to using grey more often, you may see your pile of greys stored in a jar, way back in the cupboard or closet, are becoming more and more versatile.
