Art + Mural Tote Bags – Asbury Park Fun House

Tote Bag collaborations with featured artists contributing to Asbury Park culture. We collaborated with Wooden Walls mural artists to create a unique line, tokens of affection, Souvenirs for Locals as it were. Locals like Porkchop, James Vance, Bradley Hoffer, NJ artists like Dylan Egon and Joe Iurato, and DeeDee, Indie184, Ray Geary, Hellbent, Jeffrey Fulvimari, Mike Shine, Michela Martello, and the art of Pau Quintanajornet.

St. Shadi & The Madd Dawgs Tote & Pouch, Ray Geary

Ray Geary's joyful pigmented resin mural on the historic Carousel Building features abstract and iconic, obtuse faces. This site specific 'liquid candy' was created flat inside the Carousel then assemble in place, 2019.

Artist Dylan Egon's “Family Portrait mural on the Asbury Park boardwalk merely scratches the surface of the artist's vocabulary of icons. The Mathilda/Sony Tote is the newest addition to that family. The wheat paste Mathilda/Sony can be found downtown Asbury Park in the gARTen@713Cookman between Parlor Gallery and Cookman Creamery.

The summer of 2018 Jeffrey Fulvimari introduced us to his cast of beautiful, powerful women with his Ode to the Ocean mural on the Sunset Pavilion for the Wooden Walls Project. Jeffrey reminds us The Ocean is Female, The Ocean is Alive, The Ocean is Powerful, The Ocean is Free.'

Before completing her glorious Eat My Cake mural homage to Marie Antoinette in 2021, Holly's mural installations have been part of Asbury Park's music festival Sea Hear Now as well as pop-up murals in the historic Carousel Building. In shocking pink with embedded mirrors, standing almost 20' high, Eat My Cake is Holly's largest mural to date.

Pau's second mural for the Wooden Walls Project on the Sunset Pavilion. Painted in June, 2018 during the Strawberry Moon, named after the period when wild strawberries begin to ripen, 'Strawberry Moon' is a slight departure from Pau's figurative work while retaining the palette and sensuous line. 'Yemaya and her Seabirds' 30x60 Beach Towel, Pau Quintanajornet

Pau’s original two-panel mural “Pachamama is Singing a Song for You” suffered from the elements. The remains of the mural were taken down, new plywood panels installed, and Pau created a new work Yemaya and her Seabirds for the Wooden Walls Project, 2019. Pau told me that the first mural faced the sea and Yemaya is in the sea facing the land.

Mike Shine's towering 'Havhest' mural on the Sunset Pavilion has become iconic Asbury Park. We approached Mike about new designs for Fun House. We launched his original Asbury Park front/back typography design Summer 2022 and it was (another) immediate hit.

Sunset Pavilion Tote Bag & Pouch, James Vance

Artist James Vance did a very personal adaptation of his “1871” mural on the Sunset Pavilion, Asbury Park for the Wooden Walls Project, originally painted in 2016. The palette of the new mural entitled Sunset, based on a photograph of a sunset here in Asbury Park, replaces his 2016 Random Stripes.

George Bates painted his Faces (Rainbows) mobile mural as part of the Art in the Streets program, Summer 2021, as Asbury Park reopened from the pandemic. Painted and positioned directly in front of Fun House on Cookman Ave, we have a special fondness for this mural.
