Handmade 5f1/5f2A inspired amp 2023 - White Tolex

lt;p>NOT A MONOPRICE STAGERIGHT 5 WATT AMP. I know it looks like it cause it once was. It is actually a handwired 5f1 tweed champ style amp with a few modifications.</p><p>This amp came to me in a trade as non working. The damage that was caused to the board was not worth repairing to its original state. I decided it would be more beneficial for me to just gut it and transform it into a different amp. The monoprice transformers were pulled and replaced. It has a hammond 125dse 10 watt transformer, and an overpowered power transformer. Most tweed fenders from back in the day did not have much headroom due to small transformers. Due to the extra beefy transformers on this one the amp actually has way more headroom than most others like it. It doesn't break up hard almost 9. Breakup starts in the 5 to 6 range depending on your guitar. Also due to the Transformers the amp doesn't sound like it's collapsing on itself when cranked like most 5f1 style amps. It holds together pretty well. Can be used with both 6v6gt, and 6l6gc tubes. A 6l6gc increases the wattage and headroom slightly and gives its frequency range a tad more depth and oomph so to speak. Custom tone knob circuit that is more flexible than most. The internal speaker is a celestion 8 connected to an 8 ohm jack in the cabinet. The external jack on the back is a 4 ohm hookup. SS Rectifier. 12ax7 in the preamp. This amp was handwired by myself. I pride myself in my work with amps. Quality components were used throughout this amp. I've used it extensively since it was created cranking it most of the time and without any issues at all. Also it's dead quiet on idle.
