40s Needlepoint Purse - Lucky Vintage

Vintage purse handbag featuring a beautifully handmade needlepoint tapestry floral exterior. Both front and back are embellished as well as along the bottom and side edges. Based on my research my guess is that the purse dates to the 1940s. It has a brass frame with ornate glass bead embellished clasp. It has a 12 chain handle and is lined with heavyweight ribbed fabric and has two pockets. The lining fabric is heavily soiled with dirt and some lipstick stains.
